Ukrainian An-132D performs impressive demo flight at Paris Air Show 2017 – video

A brand new multi-purpose transport aircraft An-132D performed an impressive demo flight at the 2017 International Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, France, Antonov enterprise said, Joinfo.com reports with reference to UNIAN.
“On June 19, 2017, the opening ceremony of the 52nd Paris Air Show was held. Emmanuel Macron, President of France, visited the event,” Antonov’s press service wrote on Facebook.

“There are 130 aircraft at this year’s show, 36 of which feature in flying display. An-132D is one of the air show’s debutants. It attracts attention of participants and guests of the exhibition. Oleg Gladkovskiy, First Deputy Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine, Stepan Poltorak, Minister of Defense of Ukraine, visited the aircraft,” the report says.

“The An-132D performed an impressive demo flight. The crew was captained by Victor Goncharov, test pilot of the 1st class,” reads the report.

EU extends Russia sanctions

On June 19, the European Union extended restrictive measures against the Russian Federation until June 23, 2018 in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol.

The decision was approved without discussion by the Foreign Ministers of the EU member states, an Ukrinform correspondent reports from Brussels.

It should be recalled that in March 2014, the European Council agreed the first diplomatic measures in response to Russian actions in Ukraine.

Bans and restrictions apply to certain companies and entities regarding the activities in Crimea in trade, economic, financial and investment spheres, as well as tourism, energy, and investment sectors.

Hostilities in Donbas put water supply to over 1 mln people at risk, OSCE reports

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) to Ukraine says hostilities in Donbas put water supply to over one million people at risk, according to UNIAN.

“Hug met w “Voda Donbasa” reps Mariupol. Biggest concern – pumping station in Vasylivka & damaged pipeline in Avdiivka promzone,” the SMM wrote on Twitter.

 

“Hostilities put water supply to over 1 mln people at risk. Sustainable ceasefire, disengagement & withdrawal of weapons needed,” the SMM tweeted.
