OSCE resumes patrolling in eastern Ukraine

The patrols of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine have resumed patrolling in the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic”, which was interrupted after the patrol car blast near the village of Pryshyb, Joinfo.com reports with reference to Ukrinform.

Deputy head of OSCE SMM regional office Arne Dalhaug announced this at a briefing in Luhansk on April 25.

“The patrol of the Luhansk team yesterday was mainly canceled in connection with the tragic incident. We resume patrolling today,” he said.

He specified that patrolling in the “LPR” was carried out with certain restrictions.

Arne Dalhaug noted that the monitors constantly faced the risks when working in the conflict zone in Donbas

Power supplies to uncontrolled areas in Donetsk region will continue until new power line in Avdiyivka completed

National energy company Ukrenergo would not halt supplies of electricity to the temporarily Ukraine uncontrolled areas in Donetsk region until construction of a new power line to Avdiyivka is finished, acting Ukrenergo Director Vsevolod Kovalchuk has said.

“As for Donetsk region, now the decision to stop powers supplies has not been made, as the issue with Avdiyivka has not been settled. In the near term construction of the new section of the 110 kV power line will be finished by DTEK Power Grid that would be a new source for power in Avdiyivka. Then the issue to continue power supplies to separate districts of Donetsk regions will be raised,” he said.
