Ukraine Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) HQ reports that militants continue shelling on the Avdiyivka village from Grad MRLSs, 152mm and 122mm artillery, and tanks over the past 24 hours, Joinfo.com reports.

52 houses were damaged in Avdiyivka due to the shelling, according to the report.

Despite shelling, a local school #7 in Avdiyivka partially resumed classes on Thursday, February 2.

There is still no electricity in Avdiyivka. Ukraine’s Emergency Service provides electricity with 11 generators. 34,000 residents have been cut from the electricity, water, gas supply since Sunday.

In addition, HQ reports that Russia-backed occupants carry out massive shelling on another town – Mar’inka – near Donetsk. Several houses in the town are on fire. Both local schools have suspended classes. There has been no information about casualties yet.

HQ also reported on 67 attacks in the ATO area in east Ukraine over the past 24 hours. Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed in action, fourteen more were wounded.

112 Ukraine TV channel published photographs provided by the press service of the State Emergency Service, showing damaged houses and multi-storey buildings in Avdiivka.

It should be recalled that the UN Security Council will discuss the escalation of fighting in Donbas on Thursday, February 2.
