Ukraine declares a separate airspace zone “East” over the militant-controlled territory of Donbas

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed a decree on the military-administrative division of the country’s airspace, which declares the airspace over the uncontrolled by Kyiv territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions as a separate zone, Joinfo.com reports with reference to Ukrainska Pravda.

According to the decree, from now on the Ukrainian airspace is divided into three military airspace zones under command of the Center, West, and South Air Force HQ, and one separate military air district under command of East HQ.

PACE: Ukrainian MP Heorhiy Lohvynsky elected as Vice President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe

PACE members unanimously supported the candidacy of the Ukrainian parliamentarian, Ukrinform reports.

“It’s a huge honor, pride, and responsibility for me. The post of the Vice President and the member of the PACE Bureau is the highest position at the international parliamentary arena in the history of Ukraine,” Lohvynsky wrote on his Facebook page.

He assured that he would now make every effort to further support Ukraine, restore its integrity, protect the human rights.

It should be noted that PACE will call for the release of illegally detained Ukrinform correspondent Roman Sushchenko in Moscow and termination of the persecution of Ukrainian journalists in the occupied Crimea.

Ukraine Crisis: Militants launch 41 attacks on Ukrainian troops in the past 24 hours

According to the report of Anti-Terrorist Operation HQ, militants made 41 attacks on positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in in Donbas with small arms, mortars, heavy machine guns, and snipers, Joinfo.com reports.

Four Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in action in the ATO area.
