Ukraine News Today: Ukrainian artist among 75 world’s best illustrators – Ukrainska Pravda
Anna Sarvira, a Ukrainian illustrator and a co-founder of ‘Pictoric,’ was included to the list of 75 top illustrators in the world, according to Ukrainska Pravda.
The artist is renowned for the works she created for the collection of poems of a Belarusian author Sergey Prilutsky “Down with adults,” according to Cultprostir.
Anna will present her illustrations at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2017 international exhibition on 3-6 April 2017.
Then Anna’s illustrations will be presented at the exhibitions in China and the United States.

The United States has provided Ukraine with $3 billion of loan guarantees and $750 million in financial aid to support the economy and more than $600 million to strengthen the defense capability, Joinfo.com reports with reference to Ukrinform.
“In addition to $3 billion of loan guarantees and $750 million in aid, which the United States gave Ukraine to strengthen the economy, the United States has also provided more than $600 million in aid to strengthen security,” U.S. Vice President Joe Biden said at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
He stressed that the United States helped to train Ukrainian servicemen, as well as provided a variety of equipment – body armor, radar installations and others.

In the Donetsk sector of the Anti-Terrorist Operation area, militants fired 152mm artillery systems in Avdiyivka. They also fired mortars of various calibers on the villages of Novhorodske and Dolomitne, The enemy fired small arms, rocket-propelled grenades, heavy machine guns on Avdiyivka town, and the villages of Zaitseve, Novhorodske and Verkhniotoretske.
In the Mariupol sector, militants used 122mm mortars to shell Hnutove. They also fired at Krasnohorivka and Pavlopil.
In the Luhansk sector, invaders fired 82mm and 120mm mortars at Novozvanivka and Troitske. They also fired at Novozvanivka with the use of small arms and rocket-propelled grenades.
Economic Crisis: Two Ukrainian private banks initiated liquidation
Owners of the two Ukrainian private banks – People’s Capital Bank (Kyiv) and Finbank (Odesa) – have decided to liquidate the banks, according to Interfax.
“Taking into account the situation on the banking services market and difficulties with declaring the ownership structure of PC Bank transparent by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU)… and with the purpose of protecting the interests of the bank’s shareholders it is proposed to liquidate People’s Capital Bank under an initiative of the shareholders,” the draft decision said.
“To liquidate Finbank under an initiative of shareholders… due to the hard situation on the financial and banking service markets and vagueness about possible directions and sources of further capitalization of Finbank as a bank institution,” the draft decision of the shareholders said.
Both banks were established in 1993 and ranked the 86th and the 63rd respectively among 100 operating banks as of October 1, 2016.
