Ukraine Crisis: Militants launched 49 attacks on positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbas in the past day
According to Ukrainska Pravda, in the Mariupol sector, militants fired 82mm mortars at the villages of Mar’inka, Hnutove, Vodiane, Talakivka, and Pavlopil.
In the Luhansk sector, terrorists shelled at Novozvanivka with small arms and grenade launchers.
In the Donetsk sector, militants fired 82mm at Avdiyivka, Luhanske, as well as grenade launchers and small arms at Zaitseve.
One Ukrainian soldier was killed, and three servicemen were wounded in action.

A nurse working for the National Guard of Ukraine was detained by the so-called ‘police’ of the self-proclaimed “Donetsk People’s Republic.” The incident took place in the occupied Donetsk on January 8. National Guard’s press service reported that on Wednesday, 112 TV channel reports.
The nurse who worked at the first aid post of 3057 military unit in Mariupol, Donetsk region, failed to get to work on January 8; no one could find her, until her son told the unit’s administration that she was detained by the ‘DPR police’ in Donetsk.
Savchenko Lists: Savchenko publishes corrected list of prisoners including the deceased
MP Nadiya Savchenko posted the corrected list of prisoners of war and captives held in eastern Ukraine including the deceased. She corrected the list supposedly on request of the Ukrainian side, Joinfo.com reports with reference to 112 TV channel.
Savchenko explained that the liberated are marked blue, killed – red, the Russians, which are requested by the Donetsk militants – orange, and the Russians, which demands Luhansk region – yellow.
Year of Japan starts in Ukraine:
Japan plays an important role in providing assistance to Ukraine in implementing structural reforms, for which the country allocated $1.8 billion during 2014-2016.
