On September 9, three Ukrainian servicemen were killed and 1 injured in an explosion of a hidden explosive device during construction of a firing position near Mar’inka in the Mariupol sector, according to the information released by the spokesman of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine for the Antiterrorist Operation (ATO) issues Col. Andriy Lysenko, Joinfo.ua reports.
Despite the “ceasefire”, the Russian-separatist combined forces made 15 attacks in the Luhansk sector of the ATO area on Friday. The occupiers were most active in Popasna district (villages of Novozvanivka, Novooleksandrivka and Popasna town). They carried out two series of attacks – in the morning and in the evening. In addition, the invaders broke the silence mode in Lopaskyne (Schastia district). It was quiet in the rest of the sector.
In the Donetsk sector the main fighting unfolded in Avdiyivka industrial area, as before. These attacks were quite long, but without the use of heavy weapons. In addition, enemy snipers fired near the town of Mayorsk yesterday. In total, there were 5 militant attacks in the Donetsk sector.
In the Mariupol sector the fighting took place in Mar’inka, Pavlopil and Shyrokyne.
In Shyrokyne village, as for the past few days, the occupiers have systematically applied mortars. Yesterday they fired 80 shells on positions of the ATO forces. In total, there were 10 enemy attacks in the Mariupol sector, including 3 – with heavy weapons.
Additionally, 12 enemy UAVs flights were recorded in all directions.
