“There are some 40,000 [Russian – Ed.] troops in Donbas along the northern border and nearly 50,000-60,000 in the east. This group constantly changes and evolves. Three military districts are involved. There is a transfer of airborne units, as they are deployed along the border and in Crimea. There is movement of military equipment, and some 700 Russian tanks are now in occupied Donbas,” Lysenko said, according to UNIAN.
“Any escalation of the conflict will have bloody consequences both for Russia and our side, so the Russian aggressor is weighing its strength. It is conducting a very thorough reconnaissance,” he added.
It should be recalled that Russian proxies made 75 attacks on units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbas, using large-caliber artillery systems prohibited under the Minsk Agreements.
