According to the Antiterrorist Operation Headquarters report, the situation in the area near the front line in eastern Ukraine remains tense, but controlled, Joinfo.ua reports.
The enemy intensified shelling along all the front line, flagrantly violating the Minsk Agreements. During the past 24 hours, Russian occupation forces opened fire 52 times on Ukrainian units, including 23 times in the Donetsk sector, 20 times in the Mariupol sector and 9 – in the Luhansk sector.
According to the report, in the Mariupol sector, the enemy fired 60 shells from the 122mm artillery systems on Chermalyk village, and fired heavy guns on Novoselivka village and the town of Mar’inka. Militants also fired 152mm artillery systems on Rybinsk village. They fired mortars the villages of Slavne, Lebedynske, Chermalyk, Shyrokyne and the townof Krasnohorivka. Militants fired infantry combat vehicles in the village of Novohryhorivka and in Mar’inka town. A sniper also fired in the sector yesterday.
The most difficult situation in the Donetsk sector was in Avdiyivka town and in the villages of Zaytseve, Mayorsk and Luhanske, where the enemy fired 82mm and 120mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems and heavy machine guns. It was restless also in Verhnetoretske, Kam’yanka, Novhorodske and other Novoselivka.
In the Luhansk sector, militants fired 122mm artillery systems on positions of the ATO forces in Vrubivka. The enemy fired grenade launchers of various systems on fortifications in the villages of Luhanske, Novooleksandrivka and Popasna town. In addition, militants fired infantry combat vehicles in Popasna town.
Militants do not stop armed provocations with the use of small arms in the Mariupol sector. Also, a sniper pair fired in the villages of Novooleksandrivka and Luhanske.
