In the Luhansk sector, it was the ‘hottest point’ there. The main fighting unfolded in the Popasna district (section of the front between villages of Zolote and Troitske). Just after 2 am, the enemy launched a massive mortar attack on positions of the ATO forces, which lasted for 7 hours. Between 8 and 12 hours, under cover of mortar fire, the enemy launched a direct attack on Ukrainian positions, but was rejected by an accurate fire in response.

Then the invaders requested artillery support and pulled tanks to the front line. Later, about 14 and 16 hours, illegal armed groups twice attacked strongholds of the ATO forces.

The enemy also conducted shelling in Lopaskyne village and made a mortar attack in Horihove village near the Bahmutska road.

In total, there were 3 combat clashes and 15 enemy attacks in the Luhansk sector of the ATO.

In the Donetsk sector, after 1 am the Russia-backed militants made shelling on Ukrainian positions in two directions at once – toward Avdiyivka town and Opytne village. Later, after sunrise, the enemy intensified 120mm mortar fire further north – near the village of Novoselivka Druha.

In the evening, after 7 pm, the enemy attacked at the Svitlodarsk arc and in the Avdiyivka industrial zone. The enemy used infantry fighting vehicles and 82mm mortars. Ukrainian troops opened fire in response.

The enemy also repeatedly violated the truce in Troitske village, in Horlivka suburban area and near the Butivka coal mine.

In total, there were 19 enemy attacks in the Donetsk sector, including 10 – with heavy weapons.

In the Mariupol sector, there was restless along all the front line. In particular, there were 2 combats in Mar’inka between 19 and 21 hours. Ukrainian forces successfully repulsed both attacks. Occupants used heavy weapons – mortars and tanks – intensively. The most powerful attacks occurred in Krasnohorivka, Starohnativka, Chermalyk villages and on the front section between villages of Hnutove and Shyrokyne. Most attacks took occurred in the nighttime.

The enemy snipers fired on Ukrainian troops in several places simultaneously – in Krasnohorivka, Mar’inka and Shyrokyne villages.

In total, in the Mariupol sector there were 2 military clashes, 38 attacks, including 15 – with heavy weapons.

Besides, the enemy conducted active aerial reconnaissance using unmanned aerial vehicles. In particular, in the Donetsk area they used 5 drones. Militants from the so-called “7th Brigade” shot down one of the drones due to a poor operational teamwork.
