Ukrainians say farewell to prominent journalist killed in Kyiv – video

Hundreds of people have come to Ukrainian House in Kyiv downtown to say farewell to the prominent Belarusian-Ukrainian journalist Pavlo Sheremet, killed in a car explosion on Wednesday 20 July.

Family members, friends, colleagues, officials and ordinary Ukrainians are bringing flowers to pay their last respects to the 44-year-old native of Belarus, whose murder sent the shock waves across Ukraine, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to UA Today.

Police said an explosive device of 400-600 grams of TNT equivalent ripped the automobile apart, and was possibly detonated remotely.

Ukrainian authorities vowed to find and bring the perpetrators to justice. The local investigators are already joined by their colleagues from FBI.

On Friday evening the body of the slain journalist will be transported to Belarus. Pavlo Sheremet will be buried in Minsk on Saturday.
