Kerry: U.S. to continue sanctions against Russia if it fails to bring down tensions in Donbas

Later, at a joint briefing with Ukrainian President John Kerry said that the White House will extend sanctions against the Kremlin if the Russian side fails to fulfill its commitments concerning de-escalation of situation in Donbas, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to 112.ua TV channel.

‘If Russia doesn’t fulfill its commitments, the sanctions will stay in place’, the official said, adding that the Crimea-related restrictions against Russia will remain, too, until the issue is fully settled.

After the visit to Ukraine John Kerry will go to Warsaw for a NATO summit on July 8.
