On June 19, one Ukrainian soldier was killed and two wounded due to enemy shelling near the village of Novozvanivka, said the spokesman of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine for ATO issues Colonel Andriy Lysenko at the briefing in the Information Center of the Ukraine’s National Security Service, Joinfo.ua reports.
In the Luhansk sector of the Anti Terrorist Operation area, a number of militant armed provocations increased to 6 attacks on June 19. Most of them were made on positions of the ATO forces near the village of Novozvanivka, where militants used 82mm and 120mm mortars. The enemy sniper fired in the neighboring village of Novooleksandrivka, where militants also used grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. The militant armed provocations were reported near the town of Popasna and the village of Syze.
In the Donetsk sector, the most difficult situation was near the village of Krasnohorivka. The enemy conducted the dense fire with 152mm artillery, mortars of various calibers. Besides, they fired a tank at night. The towns of Avdiyivka and Horlivka have also remained the ‘hot spots’. The militants fired mortars, grenade launchers and small arms near Avdiyivka and near the Putylivska coalmine (also known as “Butivka coal mine”).
It was restless near the village of Zaitseve, where militants fired continuously with mortars, grenade launchers of various systems and infantry combat vehicles for three hours during the night of 19 June. Isolated attacks also occurred in the towns of Mayorsk, Novgorodske and Verhnyetoretske.
Russian-terrorist forces also made two armed provocations near the village of Luhanske on the Svitlodarsk arc.
In the Mariupol sector, the enemy reduced the number of attacks on the ATO positions to two near Mar’inka – one of them was made by an enemy sniper. The tense situation was south of Krasnohorivka. There the enemy fired a tank, infantry fighting vehicles and 120mm mortars. The militants have released 122 mortar shells, 20 artillery shells, 13 tank shells and 6 rounds from infantry fighting vehicles only near Krasnohorivka.
Also, militants continued armed provocations with the use of grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms near Shyrokyne, Talakivka and Hnutove.
