ATO HQ report: child injured in strong shelling by Russian-terrorist forces on Avdiyivka in Donetsk region

In the Luhansk sector, illegal armed groups have concentrated their fire on Ukrainian positions near the village of Novooleksandrivka. They used small arms, mortars and sniper fire made one. Another provocation was recorded near Novozvanivka, said Colonel Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, the spokesman of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine for ATO issues, at the briefing in the Analytical-Information Center of the Ukrainian Security Service, Joinfo.ua reports.

In the Donetsk sector, militants were actively using mortars and artillery, blatantly violating provisions of the Minsk agreements. In total the enemy released 576 mortar shells and 226 artillery shells. The ‘hot spots’ remain in the Avdiyivka industrial zone, Horlivka and the district, and the village of Luhanske on the Svitlodarsk arc. Beside heavy weapons, the militants fired from infantry fighting vehicles, anti-aircraft installations, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. As a result, a child was injured in Avdiyivka. Ukrainian military hospitalized the boy in time and now his life is not in danger.

In the Mariupol sector, the fighting is going on near Mar’inka and Krasnohorivka. There the occupants used 82mm and 120mm mortars, grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms. Also, militants fired mortars from their positions in the occupied Dokuchayevsk on Ukrainian positions near the villages of Berezove and Novotroitske. In total they released 82 mortar shells. Invaders have also used heavy machine guns, grenade launchers and small arms near the villages of Taramchuk and Vodiane. There was shelling from enemy infantry fighting vehicles near the village of Hranitne.

During the last 24 hours of hostilities, none of the Ukrainian soldiers killed, 12 wounded in action.
