During the past 24 hours, one Ukrainian soldier was killed in action, another one soldier was killed in a truck explosion. Ten Ukrainian soldiers were wounded yesterday, one of them hit the trip wire, two military were injured during enemy attacks, said the spokesman of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine for ATO issues Colonel Andriy Lysenko at the briefing in the Information Center of the Ukraine’s National Security Service, Joinfo.ua reports.
Russian-terrorist forces 4 times broke the silence mode in the Luhansk sector without using heavy arms. An enemy sniper fired near the village Novooleksandrivka in Popasna district.
In the Donetsk sector, the situation remains tense. The illegal armed forces continued shelling on positions of Ukrainian troops using heavy weapons. In the morning of June 11, militants fired 122-mm guns on positions of the ATO forces in the Avdiyivka industrial zone. After sunset, they fired mortars and grenades of various systems.
The most difficult situation was in Novhorodske, west of militant-occupied Horlivka. So, late at night, the enemy fired 27 artillery shells, 45 large-caliber mines. Simultaneously, Russian mercenaries opened fire from grenade launchers and small arms.
Other hotspots were in Svitlodarsk, where the enemy used infantry combat vehicle, and to the north of Horlivka’s outskirts.
In total, there were 12 enemy attacks in the Donetsk sector yesterday.
The day before yesterday, after 23:00, a truck of Ukrainian army hit a road mine near Slavne village in Mar’inskyi district. As a result of the explosion, one Ukrainian soldier was killed, seven were injured.
Today just after midnight, militants again opened fire on a residential area of the town of Toretsk. According to the National Police, the occupants shot with 152mm artillery. Seven private households were damaged. Fortunately, none of the residents was injured.
In the Mariupol sector, the epicenter of the fighting was in Krasnohorivka where invaders released about 50 mortar shells, 15 artillery shells, and late at night they used tank and infantry armored vehicles. Occupants did not use heavy weapons in neighboring Mar’inka, but subversive groups and enemy snipers became activate there. Around 1 p.m. Ukrainian troops stopped another attempt to assault their positions and repelled the enemy. A series of enemy armed provocations took place in Novotroitske, where militants actively used mortars, in the village of Taramchuk, Mar’insky district, in Talakivka and Shyrokyne.
In the past 24 hours there were 31 enemy attacks in the Mariupol sector, half of which – with use of heavy weapons (mortars, artillery and armored vehicles).
