ATO HQ report: Russian-terrorist forces made 35 attacks on Ukrainian forces

During the last 24 hours, occupants made 35 attacks on positions of the ATO forcs, including 19 times – in the Mariupol sector, 13 – in the Donetsk sector and 3 – in the Lugansk sector, according to the report of the ATO HQ spokesman Major Serhiy Zhmurko, Joinfo.ua reports.

In the Luhansk sector of the ATO area, invaders fired on positions of the Ukrainian army near Stanytsia Luhanska, where shelling was carried out with infantry fighting vehicles, heavy machine guns and grenade launchers. And near Novozvanivka, militants used anti-aircraft installation ZU 23-2.

The situation is difficult in the Donetsk sector near Avdiyivka, Opytne, Pisky, Butivka coal mine, Mayorsk, Mironivske and Luhanske, where Russian mercenaries fired small arms, heavy machine guns, grenade launchers, mortars of various systems. They also released 40 shells from anti-aircraft installations near Novobrodivka.

Around 21:30, a subversive group of up to 10 people attempted to pass along the railway track near the Mayorsk station, where they got into an observation post. Ukrainian soldiers opened fire on defeat. The saboteurs retreated under cover of 120mm mortars’ fire.

In the Mariupol sector, invaders fired mortars on Ukrainian positions once near Pavlopil and thrice – near Krasnohorivka. Militants fired small arms, heavy machine guns and grenade launchers of various systems on the ATO’s positions near ​​Mar’inka, Krasnohorivka, Novotroitske, Shyrokyne and Lebedynske. In some cases, Ukrainian soldiers opened fire in response.
