In the Donetsk sector, occupants made a series of mortar attacks in Novoselivka Druha, Avdiyivka, Krasnohorivka. They released over 60 shells on Ukrainian positions, said Colonel Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, the spokesman of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine for ATO issues, at the briefing in the Analytical-Information Center of the Ukrainian Security Service, Joinfo.ua reports.

Also, the ATO forces successfully repelled the attack by enemy subversive group of 10 fighters in the village of Troitske on the Svitlodarsk arc. Also, a number of enemy provocations occurred in the village of Luhanske and in the Horlivka agglomeration. It was quiet in the Donetsk airport yesterday. The enemy did not open fire, apparently due to the visit of UN Assistant Secretary General for Human RightsIvan Šimonović.

In total, there were 15 enemy attacks and 1 combat in the Donetsk sector yesterday.

In the Mariupol sector, Ukrainian troops held a 2 hours long fighting clash with the enemy near Mar’inka. Invaders fired mortars in Krasnohorivka, Vodiane, Shyrokyne. In total,  there were 34 enemy attacks and one combat in the Mariupol sector along all the front line.

Occupants twice conducted aerial reconnaissance, using UAVs in the ATO area yesterday. In particular, the spy drones were detected over Avdiyivka and Taramchuk.

In the Luhansk sector it was quiet yesterday.

During the last 24 hours, none of Ukrainian soldiers was killed, two soldiers were wounded in action  in Troitske (Svitlodarsk arc) and Zaitseve.

The enemy has also suffered losses over the past day.  Two militants were killed and three wounded in Troitske and Mar’inka. They were from the so-called “3rd individual mechanized infantry brigade” (Gorlovka) and “100th individual mechanized infantry brigade” (Donetsk).

According to the information of the Head Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the so-called “9th separate mechanized marine assault regiment” (Novoazovsk) suffered losses on 31 May: a commander of the so-called “2nd Battalion” of the regiment was killed in action, two officers of the lower command level were wounded in action. In general, the regiment’s morale is bad. For the past few days, 17 militants have submitted reports for the transfer to Syria, because their salary has been delayed constantly in Donbas.
