ATO HQ report: occupants made 21 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas

During the past 24 hours, the enemy 21 times opened fire on strongholds of Ukrainian army, according to the report of the ATO HQ spokesman Major Serhiy Zhmurko, Joinfo.ua reports.

Russian mercenaries fired 120mm mortars on positions of the ATO forces nearby the villages of Verhnietoretske, Novobahmutivka, Krasnohorivka and Opytne. They also fired from small arms, grenade launchers of various systems and 82mm mortars on the ATO’s strongholds near Avdiyivka and Nevelske. In additions, the enemy fired on the ATO’s fortifications near Krasnohorivka, Novotroitske and Talakivka with small arms, heavy machine guns and automatic grenade launchers. An enemy sniper was firing near Krasnohorivka.

Invaders fired with weapons of infantry combat vehicles (BMPs) and 82 mm mortars on Ukrainian positions near Zaitseve.

Besides, occupants fired from heavy machine guns, grenade launchers of various systems and infantry combat vehicles (BMPs) on Ukrainian positions in the village of Stanytsia Luhanska, despite the presence of the OSCE base there.

Another proof that Russia supplies arms and ammunition to militants was a modern infantry flamethrower, put into service in the Russian Armed Forces, which was seized during a combat with the enemy subversive and reconnaissance group.

Major Zhmurko said also that it can be concluded that the increase in the number of attacks and in the presence of modern Russian weapons in the territory of Ukraine is connected with the arrival of another Russian “humanitarian convoy”.
