ATO HQ: militants fired Grad MRLS on Ukrainian army in Donetsk region again

Russian-terrorist armed forces continue to flagrantly violate the ceasefire, using heavy artillery, prohibited under the Minsk agreements, according to the information released by a spokesman for the press center of the ATO Major Anton Myronovych, Joinfo.ua reports.

The enemy fired small arms, grenade launchers and 82mm and 120mm mortars again on the stronghold of the ATO forces south of Avdiyivka last night. Invaders also fired 82 mm mortars near Zaitseve. They also repeatedly fired small arms, heavy machine guns and automatic grenade launchers on strongholds of Ukrainian troops near Mar’inka and Krasnohorivka.

In the Luhansk sector, Russian-terrorist gangs again opened fire with heavy machine guns, grenade launchers and infantry combat vehicles (BMPs) on Ukrainian soldiers near the village of Stanutsia Luhanska. They also fired automatic grenade launchers on a stronghold of the ATO forces near Popasna.

The hottest situation was in the Mariupol sector yesterday. ATO’s strongholds near Shyrokyne and Vodiane were fired with small arms and grenade launchers. Occupants also fired several times on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with 82mm and 120mm mortars in the area of Novotroitske.

For the first time in recent period, Russian-terrorist forces fired BM-21 “Grad” multiple rocket launch systems (MRLS) on strongholds of the ATO forces.

Also in the Mariupol sector, Russian-terrorist gangs fired several times from 120mm mortars and 152mm artillery systems on ATO’s fortifications near the village of Mykolayivka.

In addition, in the Mariupol sector, Ukrainian troops had a combat with the enemy subversive-reconnaissance  group. As a result of a fire contact the enemy receded.

After midnight, militants did not stop to grossly violate the truce. They have already made 14 attacks on the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s positions along the entire boundary line. In particular, near Opytne and Avdiyivka they used 122mm artillery systems banned by the Minsk agreements.

It should be recalled that on 26 May, Russian-terrorist forces shot down the UAV of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine.
