On Friday, the situation in the area of ​​ATO continued to escalate. Last night the Russian-terrorist gangs 20 times opened fire on positions of the Ukrainian troops, according to the information released by a spokesman for the press center of the ATO Major Anton Myronovych, Joinfo.ua reports.

The sector of the contact line near the temporarily occupied Donetsk city remains the “hot spot” in the ATO area. Near Avdiyivka, militants have repeatedly opened fire on Ukrainian army’s positions using small arms, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and 82mm mortars. Occupants also fired grenade launchers on the stronghold of the ATO forces in the outskirts of Mar’inka. An enemy sniper was shooting there too.

In the Mariupol sector, it was restless too. Illegal armed groups fired on strongholds of Ukrainian military near Hranitne, Shyrokyne using grenade launchers of various systems and small arms. They also twice conducted shelling with armored infantry vehicle (BMPs) on positions of the ATO forces near Novohrygorivka.

Last night, it was also detected a flight of the enemy UAV, which crossed the state border Ukraine from the territory of Russia and was conducting aerial reconnaissance over the temporarily occupied territories of eastern Ukraine.

From midnight, militants fired at least twice on strongholds of the ATO forces with armored infantry vehicle (BMPs) near Novohrygorivka.
