In the Luhansk sector, it was quiet yesterday. This morning the Stanytsia Luhanska entrance/exit checkpoint opened again. It will work until 11 May, said the spokesman of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine for ATO issues Colonel Andriy Lysenko at the briefing in the Information Center of the Ukraine’s National Security Service, Joinfo.ua reports.
In the Donetsk sector, the Russian-terrorist invaders made 7 powerful mortar attacks on positions of the ATO forces. They fired over 80 mortar shells. It was quiet only in Svitlodarsk district, while in other sections of the front line (in Zaitsev and suburbs of Donetsk) enemies carried out the dense fire.
A civilian resident was wounded in a trip wire explosion near the village of Novobahmutivka, Yasinuvatsky district of the Donetsk region. The man was transferred to the hospital.
In the Mariupol sector, occupants also actively used mortars and snipers along all the contact line (especially in Mar’inka). The situation is very uneasy there. Militants conducted 33 attacks. Some outposts were shelled 6 times a day. Ukrainian troops were forced to open fire in response. The main “hot spots” were in Mar’inka and Krasnohorivka yesterday.
During the past day of hostilities, two Ukrainian soldiers were killed and 4 were wounded in action.
