In the Luhansk sector, militants conducted four attacks on positions of the ATO forces in the Popasna district, said Colonel Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, the spokesman of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine for ATO issues, at the briefing in the Analytical-Information Center of the Ukrainian Security Service, Joinfo.ua reports.

In the Donetsk sector, insurgents attacked strongholds of the Ukrainian army 5 times, 3 of which with mortars. The attacks took place mostly in the afternoon in the Svitlodarsk district, near Zaytseve and Avdiyivka.

The most difficult situation remains in the Mariupol sector. Invaders shelled in all sections of the front line, using mortars and armored vehicles (BMP). The three “hot spots” are in Mar’inka, outskirts of Dokuchayevsk and Shyrokyne. Enemies have intensified shelling in the afternoon and even more after sunset. Total number of attacks in the Mariupol sector was 19, including 7 – with mortars.

During the past day of hostilities, no one of Ukrainian soldiers was killed, but one was wounded in action in Mar’inka.

Invaders suffered losses over the past day too. 4 fighters were killed and 6 wounded in action near the Avdiyivka industrial zone. Also, as a result of “friendly” fire three militants from the so-called “100th Infantry separate brigade the 1st Army Corps” of the illegal armed gang of “Donetsk People’s Republic.”
