Nadiya Savchenko’s lawyer Mark Feygin does not expect her return to Ukraine within few weeks, as Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko suggested speaking to Ukrainian TV channels, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to UNIAN.
“Of course, I would like to share with the President of Ukraine his optimism on “weeks before the release” of Nadiya Savchenko, but my intuition tells me otherwise,” Feygin wrote on Twitter.
At the same time, he expressed hope that his skepticism about Savchenko’s fast return to Ukraine would be “an incentive for the Kremlin.”
“Savchenko is unlikely to be released before Easter or by late May,” Feygin tweeted.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said in an interview with Ukrainian TV channels that he had a “firm hope” that the presidential plane would return the illegally convicted in the Russian Federation Ukrainian pilot, MP and member of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE Nadiya Savchenko within a few weeks.
