The Ukrainian side in the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk, Belarus has warned representatives of certain districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions that the military parade in Donetsk planned for May 9 would be a direct violation of the Minsk Agreements, Darka Olifer, spokeswoman for Ukraine’s second president Leonid Kuchma (who represents the country in the Trilateral Contact Group) has said, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“On the eve of celebration of May 9 we warn representatives of certain districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions: that holding the so-called military parade in Donetsk will be a direct violation of the Minsk Agreements,” she wrote on her Facebook account following the Trilateral Contact Group meeting on Wednesday.

Olifer stressed that in accordance to the Minsk Agreements all weapons should be withdrawn from the contact line to permanent storage facilities.
