Invaders fired over 250 shells at Zaitseve village in Donetsk region of Ukraine, used 152mm artillery

On March 29, pro-Russian mercenaries intensified shelling in Donbas, using all kinds of weapons including 82mm, 120mm mortars and even 152mm artillery
ATO HQ: Militants attacked Ukrainian army for 70 times with various weapons

On Tuesday in the area of the Anti Terrorist Operation in Donbas pro-Russian mercenaries continue to use large caliber weapons against the ATO forces. Yesterday they fired 72 times on Ukrainian army’s strongholds along the contact line, said the spokesman of the ATO HQ Lieutenant Colonel Victor Shubets, Joinfo.ua reports.

Militants were most active in the Donetsk sector. They fired on the ATO’s strongholds near Mayorsk,  Opytne, Novhorodske, Luhanske, Lenine and Nevelske. During this period, militants fired 22 times with prohibited weapons on Ukrainian positions near Zaitseve and Avdiyivka. Militants fired over 250 shells from 82mm and 120mm mortars. Near Zaitseve illegal armed groups fired on the ATO forces’ positions from 152mm artillery.

In Mariupol sector invaders fired small arms, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns on strongholds of the ATO forces near Talakivka, Vodiane, Starohnativka. Near Shyrokyne they also used mortars.

It was restless in the Luhansk region too. Here militants fired grenade launchers (AGS) on positions of the ATO forces near Novozvanivka; an enemy’s sniper fired near Schastia.

Militants continue to commit crimes against civilians. On the western outskirts of the village of Novoaleksandrivka pro-Russian mercenaries for a few minutes deliberately fired from a grenade launcher at the civilians’ houses.

It should be noted that in order to keep their positions, the Ukrainian military 20 times opened fire in response with small arms and grenade launchers.

Overall, the situation along the front line remains difficult, but controlled by the ATO forces.
