On March 29, at the morning session the Verkhovna Rada passed the motion of the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to dismiss the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin. For a decision voted 289 deputies, Joinfo.ua reports.

From the parliamentary faction of the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko the decision was supported by 114 deputies, 72 votes were of the faction of the People’s Front of Arseniy Yatsenyuk, 2 – of the Opposition Bloc,  24 – of the Samopomich Party of Lviv’s Major Andriy Sadovy.

Earlier today it was reported that the Prosecutor General dismissed the Deputy Prosecutor General David Sakvarelidze.

It should be recalled that the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin submitted a letter of resignation to the Presidential Administration on February 19, 2016.
