President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko reiterated that Ukraine will never recognize the verdict of a show trial in the Russian court. “Ukraine will never recognize this decision,” Petro Poroshenko said, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the Presidential press service.

The parties coordinated efforts to liberate all Ukrainians illegally retained in Russia.

President Poroshenko emphasized that under item 6 of the Minsk agreements, Russia must release all political prisoners illegally retained on its territory.

Petro Poroshenko and Ban Ki-moon underlined the necessity of political and diplomatic settlement of the situation in Donbas on the basis of the Minsk agreements and agreed to meet the following week in the course of the visit of the Ukrainian President to Washington.

It should be recalled that yesterday during the phone conference the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the U.S. Vice President Joe Biden strongly condemned the so-called verdict of the Russian court in the case of Nadiya Savchenko.
