On February 23 in an interview to the 112 Ukraine TV channel, Mark Feygin the lawyer of of Ukrainian pilot and MP Nadiya Savchenko, illegally detained in Russian prison, said that Nadiya will resume a dry hunger strike after the Russian court delivers a verdict of guilty, Joinfo.ua reports.
Feygin said that Nadiya’s health condition is stable now. He added that during a month she has eaten a special nutrition in detention during the trial.
Yesterday Nadiya’s lawyers Mark and Nikolay Polozov arrived in Kyiv.
According to Feygin’s comment to the 5th channel, the lawyers came to discuss the swap of Nadiya Savchenko for the Russian GRU officers Captain Yevgeny Yerofeyev and Sergeant Alexander Alexandrov, detained in Ukraine.
Feygin said that the agreement will be announced in a short time.
It should be recalled Nadiya Savchenko, Ukrainian pilot, was captured in Donbas in June 2014, illegally transported to the Russian Federation, imprisoned by the Kremlin and accused of alleged involvement in the death of Russian journalists in Donbas.
The court hearings on her case have been conducted in the Donetsk city court of the Rostov region of Russia since September, 2015.
On December 17, 2015, Russian court extended the time of detention of Nadiya Savchenko in custody until April 16, 2016, so Nadiya announced a hunger strike until the end of the trial.
On March 3 Nadiya will make her last plea in the Russian court.
