According to her lawyer Mark Feygin, Ukrainian pilot, MP Nadia Savchenko, who is illegally detained in the Russian Federation, will make her last plea in the Russian court of Donetsk town, Rostov region on March 3, UNIAN reports.

Today, he visited Savchenko in the remand prison. “We have agreed timetable for debate. On March 2, Savchenko’s lawyer Ilya Novikov and the prosecution will speak in court, on March 3 – her lawyers Nikolay Polozov and Mark Feygin, and after that Nadia will make her last plea,” Feygin said.

“My speech in the debate on March 3 before Savchenko’s last plea will be the most significant accusatory speech to the court and the government. I urge the Ukrainian media to come and listen to Savchenko’s last plea on March 3, 2016,” he said.

He also said that this would be his main lawyer’s speech at the trial of Savchenko.

It should be recalled Nadiya Savchenko, Ukrainian pilot, was captured in Donbas in June 2014, illegally transported to the Russian Federation, imprisoned by the Kremlin and accused of alleged involvement in the death of Russian journalists in Donbas.

The court hearings on her case have been conducted in the Donetsk city court of the Rostov region of Russia since September, 2015.

On December 17, 2015, Russian court extended the time of detention of Nadiya Savchenko in custody until April 16, 2016, so Nadiya announced a hunger strike until the end of the trial.
