Since December 2015 the Russian Federation has been creating the third army corps in the Rostov region, Russia, manned mostly of Ukrainian citizens, said the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Hrytsak, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to Interfax.
“As far as we know, in December 2015 the Russian Federation began to create the third army corps, which will be stationed on the territory of the Rostov region of Russia. The commander of the corps has already been appointed. It is a Russian citizen”, – said Hrytsak.
According to him, the Russian command “is actively recruiting people aged 25-30 years, trying to draft the citizens of Ukraine in the first place.”
“But as long as people are not eager to go to war there, they have to man it with anybody they can catch,” – said Hrytsak.
It should be recalled that today Russian Ministry of Defence has launched military drills of the Airborne Troops that involves 2,500 paratroopers, 300 armored, automotive and special military vehicles in Pskov region in north-west Russia, which is near borders of Latvia and Estonia. The trainings will continue till February 20, 2016.
