Security Service of Ukraine has received evidence that the Russian officers – representatives in the Joint Center for Control and Co-ordination (JCCC) trained and coordinated the activities of illegal armed groups that operate in the territory of Donbas. Ukrainian law enforcement agencies have initiated a criminal investigations on this case. This was stated at the briefing by the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Colonel-General Vasyl Hrytsak, Joinfo.ua reports.
Russian staff officers did not just take part and supervise the training of militants in the occupied territory of Ukraine, but also supplied them with military-medical literature.
On February 2, 2015, during the control procedure at the border passage Ukrainian officer seized from Russian representatives in JCCC: symbols of armed opposition groups operating in the east of Ukraine;
2 books of separatist and anti-Ukrainian content written by the ideologists of “Russian world”, who actively participated in the seizure of administrative buildings in Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
In addition, several soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces were carrying medals of the so-called “internationalists”, issued by the illegal armed group “DPR” with their names in accompanying certificates.
Alsoб during the inspection of Russian officers Captain Sergey Kutsenko and Major Alexander Kornik, the military training materials and lectures were found, including manuals on:
- manual on the use of modern armored units in special circumstances;
- manual on hand grenades, mines, explosive charges and devices for undermining bridges, buildings and other structures;
- training materials on the use of multiple rocket launchers;
- notebook on gaining information by the intelligence on the ground.
