In Donetsk region of ATO area, Russia-backed illegal armed groups violated the cease-fire in Svitlodarsk district, north of Horlivka and in the Donetsk airport. They used heavy weapons – 82-mm and 120-mm mortars in the villages of Luhanske, Zaitseve and Mayorsk. The northern suburbs of the occupied Horlivka yesterday became an area of the most active fighting in the area of ATO. The militants’ shelling (including snipers’ attacks) in this sector began in the afternoon and lasted for more than six hours.

In Mariupol district, separatists also broke the silence mode on all fronts. In particular, the enemy snipers  were shooting in Krasnohorivka twice. Moreover, militants fired at Ukrainian positions in Maryinka, Novotroitske and Shyrokyne. The ATO forces have repeatedly opened fire in response to the blatant provocations.
