According to the information released today by the spokesman of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine for ATO issues Colonel Andriy Lysenko at the briefing in the Information Center of the National Security Service of Ukraine, on Sunday none of Ukrainian soldiers was killed or wounded in action, Joinfo.ua reports.
In Donetsk direction, the most difficult situation remains in the area adjacent to the Donetsk airport, particularly in the villages of Opytne and Pisky. Militants do not use heavy weapons, but carry on provocations against the forces of ATO with small arms and grenades. Also yesterday, they conducted shelling at Ukrainian positions south of Luhanske and on the outskirts of Gorlovka.
On Mariupol direction, insurgents broke the silence mode only in Maryinka. They conducted shelling from anti-aircraft installation ZU-23-2 and grenade launchers.
The enemy snipers were much more active. Last day there were 5 such episodes along the front line from Svitlodarsk to Maryinka.
Near Mariupol town, neighboring Sartana and over the Azov sea our border guards have recorded three enemy UAV flights.
According to the Intelligence department of the MoD of Ukraine, Russia continues to provide militants with military equipment and ammunition. So, trains with military equipment, fuel, lubricants and ammunition arrived at the railway stations “Ilovaysk” and “Khartsyzk”. In addition, intelligence reported on the Russian automobile convoy with ammunition that illegally crossed the Ukrainian-Russian state border near the village of Dmytrivka in Shakhtarsky district of the Donetsk region.
Also, Russian supervisors of illegal armed groups try to hide the real number of losses in the ranks of militants. Unit commanders were ordered to report about the killed as of wounded in action.
Meanwhile, soldiers from the Russian occupation troops continue to conduct thievery of military property for their own gain. In particular, the so-called “the 3rd separate motorized infantry brigade” of the Donetsk People’s Republic (deployed in Horlivka), is under an investigation into the theft of communication equipment electronic components containing precious metals.
