Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced that, for the first time, the national budget of Ukraine will provide funding to the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar People in amount of UAH 60 mln ($2.6 mln), Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the press service of the Cabinet.
“We are entering 2016 with the main financial document of the country,” – said Yatsenyuk in 10 minutes TV program on Sunday. “The national budget projects the economic growth at 2%. The government will raise social standards for the citizens twice during the year. The total amount of the increase will be 12%. For the first time the social standards will be raised in May, the second – in December. Raising these social standards will make it possible for citizens to compensate the rise in prices and tariffs, which will take place next year.”
Yatsenyuk also said that next year’s budget allocated funds for “the printing of Ukrainian books and for production of popular and high-quality Ukrainian movies.”
It should be recalled that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in general the state budget for 2016 on December 25, 2015.
