Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, speaking in the Knesset, emphasized that the main purpose of his visit to Israel is strengthening of political dialogue and economic cooperation of the two countries, Joinfo.ua reports with referene to Korrespondent.
“The main purpose of my official visit to Israel is to strengthen political dialogue, trade and investment cooperation, to identify ways to enhance the bilateral cooperation in all other areas: cultural, economic,” – said the President Poroshenko.
According to him, Ukraine is an outpost of democracy in Europe, as Israel is an outpost of democracy in the Middle East.
“The values of freedom and independence unite our people,” – Poroshenko wrote in his Facebook.
Poroshenko in his speech also stressed that Ukraine, like Israel, will stand.
It should be recalled that yesterday, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the framework of his visit to Israel held talks with his counterpart, Reuven Rivlin. Both sides confirmed the necessity of full implementation of the Minsk agreements and called for the immediate de-occupation of Crimea and restoration of Ukrainian sovereignty on the peninsula.
