December 22, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the framework of his visit to Israel held talks with his counterpart, Reuven Rivlin, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to KrymRealii.

“Both sides confirmed the necessity of full implementation of the Minsk agreements and called for the immediate de-occupation of Crimea and restoration of Ukrainian sovereignty on the peninsula”, – informed the press service of Ukrainian President.

Petro Poroshenko also said the president of Israel about imminent development of the situation in Donbas.

“Ukraine and Israel is currently facing serious problems. The most important of these is to protect his country from external threats, “- said the president of Ukraine.

“I came as President of the country, which fights for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity every day”. He expressed admiration for the patriotism and courage of Israeli people who defend their sovereignty every day.

It should be recalled that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has officially announced the beginning of the temporary occupation of Crimea by Russia on February 20, 2014. Russia denies occupation of the peninsula and calls it a “restoration of historical justice.”
