Yesterday December 14, in Lugansk region of the ATO area, militants violated the truce for the first time for the last few days there, according to information reported at a briefing in the information center of the Ukrainian Security Service by the spokesman of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine for ATO issues, Colonel Oleksandr Motuzyanyk. The militants made two hostile provocations near Trokhizbenka, using small arms, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.

On Donetsk direction, the number of attacks reduced almost twice. The situation was tense in the area of Donetsk airport, including nearby villages of Avdiyivka and Pisky. Militants also carried out three attacks on Ukrainian positions near Novgorodske using small arms, heavy machine guns and anti-tank grenade launchers in Svitlodarsk area, namely in the districts of the villages of Luhanske and Zaitseve.

On Mariupol direction, there were no violations of the ceasefire. However, in Volnovakha area near the passage from the occupied territories, a resident of Donetsk was killed in explosion of a mine stretch. It was found that he was heading by car to Mariupol. Passing the checkpoint of militants, he went into the field, where he came across the explosive device. Ukrainian doctors did their best trying to save his life, but the injury was fatal. In the Donetsk region 26 civilians have been killed in explosions of hidden mines and other explosive devices since the beginning of this year.

“We call on citizens to be vigilant and in case of any suspicious device to contact Ukrainian sappers to prevent risk to the lives of ordinary people,” – said Colonel Motuzyanyk.

Given the increase in passenger traffic through the line of demarcation, a new checkpoint “Mar’inka” opened today. The checkpoint’s capacity is up to 6,000 people and 1,500 vehicles a day. This will significantly reduce the load on the other checkpoints “Zaitseve” and “Novotroitske” and provide more efficient work of the law enforcements, which have been strengthened on the eve of Christmas to avoid sabotage.

She worked in the Department of Justice of the Donetsk region and wanted to earn easy money by issuing passports to residents of the temporarily occupied Makiyivka.
