The fire started about 11 p.m. on Saturday night in psycho-neurological boarding hospital in Alfyorov, Voronezh region, Russia. At the moment there were almost 70 people inside the building. Fire engulfed him in a few minutes, then the roof collapsed, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to Vesti.ru.

In total 57 people were evacuated safely. 22 people were brought to the nearby hospitals, people with the most severe injuries were delivered to the intensive care unit of Novokhopersk hospital. The building has been burned to the ground in three hours.

The investigators are trying to figure out, what caused the fire. There are several versions – from a faulty appliance to the careless handling of fire. However, the staff of the boarding assured that patients do not have access to matches or lighters.

Search operation at the site has been completed, all the victims were found. The investigation is underway.
