Today, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk was delivering his annual report in the Verkhovna Rada. When he was at the rostrum answering the questions of the deputies, MP Oleg Barna approached him with the bunch of roses and grabbed him. Mr Barna tried to carry him out from the podium, but deputies from Yatseniuk’s People Front wade in to help him. At some point, a fight broke out in the Parliament, Joinfo.ua reports.
Yuriy Lutsenko, the head of Barna’s parliament fraction, apologized for his actions.
After the brawl subsided, PM continued his Q&A session in the Verkhovna Rada.
There was a question from another MP Mustafa Nayem: “Your government is not supported by either the Parliament or the public. However, we can not fire you. Could it happen that you voluntarily resign so that we will have another PM? ”
Arseniy Yatsenyuk replied: “I knew what would happen with my rating. I do not hold for the seat. You want to send me resignation – please do. You have all the power.”
