Crimean authorities refuse to receive electricity from Ukraine in case of the renewal of supply. Sergey Aksyonov, the head of the Russian occupation authority in Crimea, said it in an interview with the local edition Kryminform, commenting on the agreement between the authorities of Kherson region and the organizers of the blockade of the peninsula to resume the electricity supply on the high voltage line Kakhovska-Titan, Joinfo.ua reports.

“We have refused all Ukrainian supplies. They blocked he supply of building materials six months ago, the food – three months ago, the water supply – from the very beginning (of the annexation – Ed. Ukrainian authorities denied this allegations). Electricity – was the last “thread” that connects us to Ukraine. Here today, we have already been completely cut off and have no intention of restoring these relations, “- said Aksyonov.

According to him, Crimeans themselves are asking to abandon, once and for all, buying electricity in Ukraine. “I receive a large number of appeals from Crimean via social networks, which are united in the opinion that even if Ukraine would want to supply electricity, we should not take it for any price – neither high, nor low one,” – said Aksyonov.

He emphasized the fact that Crimea will not only use the electricity coming from the Krasnodar region, but also develop its own generation plants. He said that in December they plan to lunch the second line of the energy bridge, which, together with the first line, will cover 80% of electricity needs of Crimea. Also, they plan to finish the construction of two thermal power station in Simferopol and Sevastopol.
