First Vice-Premier of the Russian government of Crimea Mikhail Sheremet warned the organizers of the blockade of the peninsula to quit their plans on a sea blockade of the peninsula, because at any attempt the Russian border guards will shoot to kill.
According to Sheremet, all strategic objects of Crimea, including Kerch ferry, are under strengthened protection. “We have everything under control, and heavily guarded, so they have no chance,” – said Sheremet, Joinfo.ua reports with the reference to KrymRealii.
Another Vice-Premier of Russian-Crimean government, Ruslan Balbec believes that the sea blockade of Crimea will cease to exist after the very first time the activists meet Russian ships.
“A sea blockade will end with the first meeting of the activists with the ships of the Russian Federation border guards,” – said Balbec. He said that “Russian border guards would not stand on ceremony with the trespassers and, if necessary, immediately open fire.”
Earlier, the coordinator of the civil actions to blockade the Crimean Lenur Islyamov said that the sea blockade will follow the termination of the foods supply, products and electricity to Crimea from the mainland of Ukraine.
It should be recalled that activists started blocking roads in Kherson region near checkpoints at the administrative border with Russia-occupied Crimea to prevent trucks with foods from entering the peninsula on September 20, 2015. Later to the food blockade the protesters added power blockade. The blackout of Crimea continues from November 22.
Electricity supply company Ukrenergo reported that the repair of the blown up towers on the line Kakhovka – Titan and wires has been completed. They continue negotiations with the activists about resuming the power supply to Crimea.
