On Tuesday November 24, the Trilateral Contact Group on the settlement of the conflict in the East of Ukraine, held a video conference of the working sub-groups of the Contact Group, Joinfo.ua reports.

According to Darka Olifer, the press-secretary of the representative of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, during the meeting the participants discussed an increase in the number of cases of truce violation, the need for admission of the SMM of OSCE to the part of the Ukrainian-Russian border, uncontrolled by Ukraine, intensifying of the exchange of prisoners in the format “all for all”, which should be completed by the end of this year.

“In particular, this applies to the release of the most vulnerable – women and those who are in dire need of medical care”, – summarized Olifer.

One of the main conditions remains the complete ceasefire: only unquestioning fulfillment of this condition by all the parties of the conflict could be a guarantee for future settlement and the transition to political and economic parts of the agreements.

In turn, the representative of the so-called LPR in the negotiations Vladislav Deinego reported that work continues and, for today, the working groups have nothing to present to the Contact Group. ”

“The coordinators of the working groups will not report before December 8 – the next meeting of the Contact Group”, – he said.

It should be recalled that yesterday, the head of LPR Igor Plotnitskiy said “Kyiv continues to stall for time” in the issue of implementation of the Minsk Agreements.
