President Petro Poroshenko addressed to Ukrainians on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary on the Day of Dignity and Freedom, Joinfo.ua reports with the reference to the AP press service.
President Petro Poroshenko said:
Only two years separate us from the beginning of the Revolution of Dignity, but its historical scope is obvious.
The collapse of the dictatorial regime tore plans to eliminate Ukraine, to transform our country into a subordinate ‘Malorossian’ Kremlin’s autonomy, led by the fifth column. Thus, Moscow launched a “plan B” – the military aggression and an attempt to divide our country. They miscalculated. For there is no ‘Malorossiya’ – it remained in the history books. There is no ‘Novorossia’ too – it was the Kremlin’s hallucination. But Ukraine was, is and will be! And most importantly, we, as the nation, have proved it over the two years.
In November 2013, the revolution has just begun. But, it will be possible to talk about its completion, when we fulfill the European program of changes that have formulated and put on the agenda by millions of people, that walked to the streets then,” – said the President.
Petro Poroshenko also greeted the ratification of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement: “Recently, ink are not dry yet, I signed a package of so-called visa-free laws. We have fulfilled the key conditions and anticipate the EU decisions on prospects of introduction of visa-free regime for Ukrainian.”
“The process of ratification of the Association Agreement has been completed by all twenty-eight members of the EU. Usually it takes many years; we managed it in 17 months from the date of signature of the agreement,“ – saig the President.
