In case of further aggravation of the situation, in order to defend Ukrainian positions and save lives of our military, the commanders will be forced to return defense artillery and mortars to the front line.

“The OSCE SMM has been informed about it. It should be recalled that, the complete withdrawal of forces from the front line ATO was verified by the mission staff. But the mission still did not confirm the withdrawal of weapons of illegal armed groups,” – said Colonel Lysenko.

On Lugansk direction the militants fired at Ukrainian positions on the Bahmutska road near Novotoshkivske. They used small arms unit ZU-23-2 and 82-mm mortar of the period of WWII.

On Donetsk direction, for the first time in a week, the militants opened fire on Ukrainian positions on the Svitlodarsk arc. It happened yesterday after midnight near the villages of Lozove and Luganske. But the situation near Horlivka was relatively calm – there was only one armed incident in the village of Novgorodske.

The most difficult situation remained in the western outskirts of Donetsk.

The militants tried to detect the location of Ukrainian military by opening provocative fire. In addition to small arms and rocket-propelled grenades, they used mortars. Yesterday was the most tense situation remained in Pisky in the day time, and in Mar’inka in the dark.

On Mariupol direction, the militants, unlike other sectors of the front, opened aimed fire on the positions of ATO forces. Including 2 episodes, which occurred yesterday near the village of Granitne.
