According to the Ukrainian Embassy in Slovakia, the fact that the Ukrainian helicopter crashed confirmed. The crash happened in the east of Slovakia, near the border with Ukraine. Slovak officials said to BBC that it was MI-2, Joinfo.ua.

Slovak officials said the helicopter may have been involved in smuggling people across the border. Ukraine’s border service made a statement that the helicopter crashed 35 km from Ukrainian border, two Ukrainians and four people from south-eastern Asia were on board. It said the helicopter was likely used to transport illegal migrants. The helicopter fell yesterday, but was found only on Friday.

Slovak side said they found the bodies at the crash site near the village of Stretavka in Michalovce district.
