The 44th Russian ‘humanitarian convoy’ crossed the Russia-Ukraine border. Russian media informed that the trucks are passing the custom clearance, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM).
“On the route, the Russian Emergencies Ministry convoy split in two parts. One of them has arrived at the checkpoint Donetsk, another – to Matveyev-Kurgan,”- said the source from EMERCOM.
In Donetsk and Lugansk regions, ‘humanitarian convoy’ will arrive in approximately equal proportions.
The previous, 43rd Russian convoy arrived in Donbas on 29 October.
Ukrainian State Border Service and Custom Service had no access to the convoy, as usual.
The State Border Service of Ukraine recommended to the Russian side to of the so-called ‘humanitarian convoys’ through official checkpoints, such as in the Kharkiv and Luhansk regions.
“So far, the Russian side has consistently ignored these offers, in flagrant violation of domestic and international law, and sents humanitarian aid through those sections of the border, which are temporarily out of control by Ukrainian side,” – the Service stated.
It should be recalled that after each arrival of the Russian ‘humanitarian aid’, the militants increase attacks on positions of ATO forces, though the content of Russian trucks seems to be far from humanitarian.
