“Yesterday morning, for the first time in months, the militants fired at the residential area. They fired two mines from 82-mm mortar at Krasnohorivka,” – said at a briefing Speaker of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine on ATO Colonel Andriy Lysenko, Joinfo.ua reports.

Yesterday it was troublesome situation on the western outskirts of Donetsk. Militants tried to provoke Ukrainian soldiers to open fire in return. “The militants used small arms, large caliber machine guns and grenade launchers. They fired at Ukrainian positions in Krasnohorivka from an infantry fighting vehicle BMP-2. Militant snipers were shooting near Avdiyivka,” – added Colonel Lysenko.

Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in Zolote while checking the area. “Soldiers tripped on a wire with an RGD-5 grenade. Given that Zolote is located on the contact line, the militant’s subversive groups and intelligence were active there,” – said Colonel Lysenko.

Early morning yeaterday, the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to stop a car, which tried to break through Ukrainian blockpost near Popasna, Luhansk region. “Ukrainian soldiers open fire in accordance with the instructions, the driver was killed. It turned out, the driver was a resident of the occupied territories and was dressed in a camouflage with the so-called LPR’s insignia,” – noted the ATO spokesman.

Near Chernenko village, Donetsk region, the border guards found a cache with two hand-held antitank grenade launchers. “The found ammunition has been transferred to the law enforcements of Donetsk region. Investigation is underway to identify the owners of weapons,” – said Colonel Lysenko.
