Yesterday November 3, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed the law, allowing foreign citizens and stateless persons to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Yesterday November 3, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed the Law No 716-VIII, which was approved by the Verkhovna Rada on October 6, allowing foreigners and stateless persons to serve under contracts in the Armed Forces and other military formations of Ukraine, Joinfo.ua reports with the reference to AP press service.

This will increased a combat capability of the Armed Forces and other military units. Ukraine will get more combat capable, experienced and motivated battalion level units up to a thousand soldiers.

It will also reduce the need for conscription of citizens of Ukraine to military service, during the mobilization in times of crisis.
