Yesterday morning the 43rd Russian “humanitarian convoy”, consisting of 106 trucks, entered Ukraine. The Emergency Service of Russia (EMERCOM) reported that its trucks brought 1,1 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Donbas on October 29, Joinfo.ua reports.
EMERCOM said in the statement, that the trucks brought to the inhabitants of Donetsk and Lugansk regions more than 1.1 thousand tons of humanitarian aid, mainly food.
In turn, at a briefing in Ukrinform Oleh Slobodyan, the press secretary of the State Border Service of Ukraine, said that the convoy traditionally arrived half-empty.
“The Russian side has unilaterally conducted custom clearance of the convoy. All 106 trucks with food were usually half-empty, indicating that the pretentiousness of such assistance,” – said Slobodyan.
He recalled that the State Border Service of Ukraine is making every effort to implement the Minsk agreements and recommends the Russian Federation to send goods through official action checkpoints each time. However, the Russian side is ignoring these recommendations, violating domestic and international law.
It should be recalled that previous, the 42nd Russian “humanitarian convoy”, consisting of 100 trucks, arrived in Ukraine in the morning of October 22, 2015.
