The sides will discuss the ban on air flights between the two countries.
It should be recalled that the Cabinet of Ministers decided to ban flights of Russian airlines to Ukraine from October 25, 2015, primarily of Aeroflot and Transaero companies.
Later Russia introduced “mirror” sanctions to Ukraine and banned the air flight of Ukrainian companies over their territory. Rosaviation notified three airlines – Ukraine International Airlines, Dniproavia and Motor Sich – about the restrictions.
The first round of negotiations on air traffic between Russia and Ukraine will take place on October 24 in Brussels, Joinfo.ua reports with the reference to TASS.
Yesterday Maxim Sokolov, the Transport Minister of the Russian Federation held telephone talks with the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Andriy Pivovarsky.
“We agreed that the first round of negotiations will take place in Brussels tomorrow, we have delegated to the heads of our air services,” – said Sokolov.
According to the Pivovarsky, technical consultations between Ukraerorukh and Rosaviation were held in Brussels today.
